Always Interesting...

First with the new news. Steven and I went to Utah this past weekend, and my mom was kind enough to watch our kids while we were gone. Mom got sick while we were gone though. She thought it was just the flu, but yesterday, after we had already headed home, she was on the phone with her mom, my Granny, and had a seizure. My poor Granny was frantic, since she knew something had happened, but wasn't sure what. Then my little sister Hannah, went to check on my mom and saw that she was unresponsive. She ran out to the drive way, where my brother Brad was just pulling out, and stopped him and told him that something was wrong with mom. He came in and called my dad, who told him to call 911. Dad got home at the same time of the ambulance. They got her to the hospital where they discovered that she has viral Meningitis. She was doing better last night, but then had another seizure today, and was put into ICU. They have her on seizure meds to keep the seizures off while they're waiting for the other medicine to kick in. We don't have much more information than that right now. It sounds like everything is going to be fine, but we're still praying that she'll pull through this quickly. Scary stuff!! Now, a quick weekend recap...

Steven and I spent about 4 days in Utah with only Grant, and even though things weren't exactly like we thought they would have been, it was WONDERFUL to get away from real life with just Steven (well, and Grant, but he's such a good baby, he's no trouble at all!) Ah, it was much needed. Anyway, we had a fun time visiting with a lot of old friends. We went to Steven's mission reunion and got to hear the bag pipes and listen to old mission stories. Saturday, between sessions of conference, we had a reunion of sorts with some of my friends from college. It was so great to see everyone again. Now, excuse me while I post an insane amount of pictures. I really need to learn how to do a slide show (but that kind of defeats the purpose of me doing this to keep a family record and then printing this blog off into a book, because I'm pretty sure a slide show won't print out into a book the same way as the actual pictures).The pipe band. We were able to see Stevens sisters while we were out there, which is always good. I couldn't believe how big Madison has gotten. She and Grant were so cute together!Lacey, Madison and Grant.
