Addie May is SIX!!!

I can not believe that my little Addie May is six years old!! Where in the world has the time gone?! We were in Nauvoo on her birthday and I think she had a wonderful day!! She made cupcakes with Jennifer (which is one of her favorite things to do!).
I think one reason she loves to cook so much is because she loves to sneak tastes!

I didn't get a picture of them decorating the cupcakes though, Steven and I were busy driving (and smooching) in Joe's new Camaro! It was a fancy ride!!
Then we had presents and cupcakes. She was so cute when she was blowing out the candles. She wished for a lot of presents, then later, she declared that her wish came true!
Seriously, look at this big beautiful girl. Who would have know, six years ago, that she would have grown up to be such a sweet, kind, beautiful, loving six year old?

Jennifer let Addie go shopping for her birthday! Because there aren't any decent stores in Nauvoo to go shopping in, Jennifer had picked out 10-15 dresses before we got there. Then, she set them up for Addie to go shopping. Addie got to pick one dress for her birthday (then Jennifer gave her another one too, because Addie's number 2 choice was Jennifer's number one choice).
We brought the presents from Grandma as well. Grandma sent a super cute hopscotch mat that all my kids LOVE! She also sent Addie a princess book bag, with 6 little princess's inside (that's when she thought her wish came true. She just thought it was a book bag, but then when she opened it, and saw even more gifts, she was beyond thrilled!). Don't mind the chocolate frosting on her teeth!
Grandma also got Addie a cheerleader doll, which Addie loves, and Steven and I hate! That doll is SO loud, and has some obnoxious cheers! But that's what Grandmas are for, right? To get kids the things their parents won't!
Then came the big surprise. About a week ago, Addie learned to ride a two-wheeler bike. Early Saturday morning, Steven and Landon went across the river to Wal-Mart and got Addie her own girly two-wheeler. I'm sure you can tell by her face that she was overjoyed with it!!!
Pretty girl with her purple and pink bike (her favorite colors)!
Later that evening, we had Crepes for dinner, by Addie's request. She (and all the kids) were gobbling them up and enjoying every sticky bite!!
Then, it was bike riding time!! She was crusin' and smiling the whole time!!
We are so blessed to have such a great girl in our family. Addie has such a sweet and special spirit. She is such a nurturer. She loves to help cook and take care of Ella. She plays well with all kids. Boys, girls, older, younger. She's laid back and easy to get along with. She has an mellow temperament and is generally willing to do what she can to make other's happy. We love you Addie May and are so blessed to have you in our family!!!
