Grant turns 5!! (last year...in December...)

I do not know how my little dimple cheeked baby Grant grew up to be a handsome 5 year old boy!!! But somehow, without my permission, it did happen. He wanted a Power Ranger/Avenger's birthday. We got dumped on with a TON of snow on his birthday, so we had to tweak the plans for his party. He did have one friend who came out to celebrate, and they made a snowman and played for a LONG time in the snow. He got pancakes for breakfast, and two cakes! One was the ice cream cake for my birthday (since my birthday is just 2 days before his, and we didn't cut into it).
Then the next day we made cupcakes. He wanted to get to decorate them, "Cake Boss" style. So I let the kids pipe the frosting on. Then we took the cheap easy route and just put some pictures on toothpicks to 'decorate' the cupcakes. Luckily, it was good enough for him!
Grant is such a funny, quirky kid. He can make EVERYONE in our family crack up in hysterical laughter. He loves to be goofy and loves to help me. He always asks if he can help me clean or cook. He also loves (or at least allows) when I kiss on his irresistible cheeks!
Grant has always been a laid back, easy going kid. Even as a new born he was so calm and still. Although he has his wild moments, he is still very easy going and mellow. He's easy to get along with and rarely gets upset.
He's a good friend and is very social. He is loving the little preschool that we've been doing with him. He loved Tuesday and Thursday's because they're school days for him. And he's a smart little cookie too! He can read about 6 words, which he is VERY proud of!
We love this boy more than words can tell and are SO very glad that he is in our family.
